HBS New Energies, a trading name of HBS NE Limited, has rebranded to UPOWA – the product business within HBS NE Limited – in a bid to provide a “one-stop-shop”.
UPOWA develops and supplies sustainable technology products to enable the housebuilding and construction industries to solve the future sustainability and carbon-reduction challenges and deliver zero-carbon ready homes and buildings.
Bringing HBS New Energies under the UPOWA brand will allow the business to accelerate the journey to net zero and provide its customers with a one-stop-shop of sustainable technology products and specialist services all from one source, the company said.
Over the past 14 years, HBS New Energies has designed and installed solar PV systems on over 15,000 buildings nationwide, including new build homes, schools, civic buildings, hospitals, universities, manufacturing plants, distribution centres and water treatment sites.
The rebranding – which went live today (16 May) – follows HBS NE Ltd being acquired by building materials distributor Brickability Group, with the investment from the acquisition going towards expanding its solar PV, battery storage and electric vehicle charging installation services.
James Bull, managing director of HBS NE Ltd, said that since the acquisition they've been preparing for rapid growth, driven by new buildings regulations, the UK's net zero strategy and rising energy costs.
“Under the trading name UPOWA, our valued clients will benefit from fully-integrated, purpose-built sustainable technology solutions to help achieve their zero-carbon goals.”
