ib vogt GmbH has strengthened its management team to accelerate its international expansion and, in particular, the build-out of its 300MW UK project pipeline.
Former COO of Suntech Power David Hogg has been appointed as CEO of German solar developer ib vogt GmbH. Alongside the company’s new CFO, Carl von Braun, the new management team had been charged with accelerating the company’s international expansion plans.
At the head of the company’s plans is the UK market, where ib vogt has already commissioned over 55MW of solar projects as well an investment portfolio of 50MW of operating solar plants. The company hopes to accelerate the financing and build-out of a claimed 300MW UK project pipeline over the next 2-3 years.
The new management appointments will work closely with Anton Milner, the co-founder and CEO of Q-Cells, to focus on corporate development and financing.
In addition to the management appointments, ib vogt has also recruited a number of technical and commercial positions. The solar developer is also looking to recruit additional experts in international project financing and asset management of solar parks.
