Joju Solar has installed a 1.8kW solar photovoltaics system for Wentworth Primary School in Hackney. The system, which has been fitted to a shelter where the children play, will save the school money on electricity bills as well as providing them with feed-in tariff payments for the next 25 years.

“We really love working with local schools. Not only do we help them to reduce their carbon footprints but we also hope that the children are able to learn a bit about some of the exciting solutions to climate change,” said Joe Michaels, Commercial Director for Joju Solar.

James Page, Project Manager for Joju Solar said, “It is great that we can help reduce a schools energy bills, saving them money. This was a particularly exciting project and was one of the first installations using this type of ‘glassglass’ solar panels. We wanted something that looked visually stunning and fitted in with the look of the school – it really worked.”

Carolyn Maples, Headmistress of Wentworth Nursery School & Children’s Centre said, “Joju Solar have been a great company to work with! They were able to use their cutting edge knowledge and expertise with attention to our specific circumstances and needs. We are confident that we have ended up with the best possible system at the best possible price and all our dealings with Joju Solar have been really positive…..and we are demanding customers!”
