Devon-based construction company, Kier, has completed the acquisition of renewable energy specialist Totnes-based Beco Limited.
The deal, which cost the national Kier empire a total of £2.4 million, positions the company on the solar energy map.
Beco designs and installs renewable energy sources, principally using photovoltaic technology to produce renewable energy. The company is also registered under the microgeneration certification scheme (MCS).
Kier Western Managing Director Peter Young said, “Kier's acquisition of Beco is very timely.
“It is a company leading the way in providing energy solutions for homes which will reduce carbon emissions and electricity costs.”
