Bourne-based Lark Energy has completed work on the first phase of a 76.5kWp photovoltaic installation at Spitfire Park, located on an industrial estate on Northfield Road in Market Deeping.

Lark Energy worked with Larkfleet Group member company FE Peacock to install the 240 Hyundai photovoltaic panels which total 55.2kW. The modules were provided by distributor Eco Building Products. The project is the first time Hyundai PV panels have been used on a large UK installation.

The installation is forecast to produce 45MWh of energy each year.

Jonathan Selwyn, Managing Director of Lark Energy said, “We are delighted that this project will see the first large installation of Hyundai panels in the UK.

“This installation will demonstrate how PV can work well in an industrial environment. Lark Energy and FE Peacock have a lot of experience in PV panel installations and we are delighted with the outcome.”

Lark Energy focuses on providing large scale PV for commercial applications. It also provides site-wide renewable energy solutions for new housing and commercial developments for the Larkfleet Group and for its partners and clients.

The company is now working on the second phase of of the project, using 76 x 280 watt lightweight SOLbond panels from Solon totaling 21.28kW. When complete the project will be 76.5kW.
