Lark Energy, the developer behind the UK’s largest solar farm, is selling 100MW of its permitted UK solar projects.

Lark’s founding managing director, Jonathan Selwyn, said the company still had a “big UK focus” and that it was selling the development sites to inject capital into other UK projects.

“It’s what we do, we develop sites, and then sometimes we sell them on, ready to build,” Selwyn said.

The buyers are currently confidential, but the first 14MW purchasers are to be announced next week.

Lark Energy, part of Larkfleet Group of companies, recently reached the 150MW installed capacity mark with a 35MW project on the former Stradishall RAF airfield. Other recent installations include the 14MW Ellough project and three further sites in South Creake in Suffolk (26MW), Thornham in Norfolk (15MW) and Burton Pedwardine in Lincolnshire (15MW).
