Italian PV panel manufacturer Medsolar has signed a UK partnership agreement with distributor, Solar Cube.
Medsolar is a daughter company of Meridie Spa, a company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.
A statement from the companies said they would both benefit from being based within the European Union, therefore escaping duties imposed on Chinese manufacturers.
Mike Bell, director of Solar Cube, said: “Our customers have expressed their concerns with the tariffs being imposed onto Chinese modules, and with Medsolar we have answered this. We will be able to offer European quality at competitive Chinese prices”
Marilisa Esposito, international sales manager at Medsolar, said: “Solar Cube’s reputation within the industry for distribution of PV panels, alongside their facilities in the South East and Midlands makes them the perfect distribution partner. We are very happy.”
The companies said that 250W modules will be available from Solar Cube’s West Midlands depot in early July 2013.
