French PV specialists, Mobasolar are set to help expand Samsung’s solar presence in Europe after signing a distribution agreement covering France, Switzerland and the United Kingdom for the South Korean’s PV modules.
Under the agreement, Samsung SDI and Mobasolar will work together to promote Samsung’s range of high efficiency modules, which currently boast efficiencies of 15.64 percent (255W).
The Samsung Group has previously announced plans to invest 6 trillion won (£3.3 billion) by 2020 into its PV business, as it hopes to capture significant market share in what it has identified as a growing market.
Commenting on the tie-up with Samsung SDI, Robert O’Donnell, Mobasolar’s president, said: “Samsung’s green credentials, strong financial position, and excellent reputation for innovative, quality products will serve to differentiate its solar modules in an already crowded market”.
