Renewable energy company Myriad Solar PV has reported record sales in 2013-14.
The Leicestershire-based company has seen a 24% increases in sales as well as posting a 31% increase in revenue and a 27% increase in lead generation.
Over the last six months, Myriad has received orders for around 1.1MW of PV projects, many of which revolve around the construction supply chain. However, Myriad has also been signing off on deals from a variety of parties, especially schools and other academic institutions.
Lee Baxter, sales director of Myriad Solar PV, said that while planned degressions in subsidies have weakened the market, the demand for PV power is still high.
“It is fantastic to see that, especially in the construction industry, there is still a compelling argument and need for the use of clean, renewable energy and the reductions to the FITs have had very little impact, if any,” Baxter said. “London is a particularly booming area for us at the moment and we are expecting to see growth in our own local area of Leicestershire and the wider East Midlands in coming months too.”
