NextEnergy Solar Fund is to bolt on a further 28MW of UK solar after signing purchase agreements for six new farms.
The six sites – all connected prior to the most recent Renewables Obligation deadline and hence eligible for 1.2 ROCs – take NESF’s total UK solar capacity to 467MW.
NESF expects the £30.5 million deal to complete within the next two months.
The sites have been purchased from three separate counterparties and include;
- The 4.99MW Aller Court and 4.99MW Rampisham solar plants from one counterparty,
- The 4.99MW Hill solar farm and 3MW Forest Farm array from a second,
- And the 4.99MW Wasing and 4.99MW Flixborough solar farms from a third.
Solar Power Portal understands those counterparties to be British Solar Renewables, Earthworm Energy and INRG respectively.
NESF also noted that it continues to pursue further transactions and expects to close additional deals “in due course”.
