Good Energy has completed the sale of its 5MW Brynwhilach solar farm for a total consideration of £5.6 million.
The deal will see the project come under the ownership of CORE Pisces Limited, a subsidiary of CORE Home Nations which is funded by Big Society Capital, alongside local community energy firm Gower Power Co-op.
Good Energy will remain as the project’s off taker and purchase its power under a power purchase agreement.
The clean energy supplier will also use the proceeds to finance its growth strategy which has seen it move into both the EV charging and C&I battery storage markets.
The deal is the latest in a recent run of acquisitions by CORE, having taken on three solar farms for £12 million in March.
