SolarEdge has grown its product offering with this week’s launch of a new suite of energy management technologies alongside the company’s commercial PV solution.

The company will showcase its offering at the Intersolar exhibition taking place in Germany this week, which includes the addition of new load switching devices and immersion heating controls to its smart energy management portfolio.

The new products are designed to direct excess PV energy to appliances during the day in order to shift energy consumption to match solar generation.

SolarEdge has also added LG Chem’s RESU10H battery and RESU7H batteries to StorEdge solution compatibility as part of its growing energy management portfolio.

Lior Handelsman, SolarEdge’s vice-president of marketing and product strategy, said: “Dedicated to offering innovative and cost-effective energy solutions, SolarEdge is happy to be leading the integration of PV generation with energy automation. With inverters taking an extended role in energy management, this is a natural progression for SolarEdge.”

In addition to these new developments, SolarEdge will also showcase its commercial PV offering at Intersolar, featuring a new extended service suite that supports PV business throughout the life cycle of commercial PV systems.

Finally, the manufacturer will also present its HD-Wave technology inverter, originally launched late last year. With a capacity up to 6kW and weighing up to 9.5kg, Handelsman told sister publication PV Tech earlier this year that the system is popular with installers who said it was easy to install due to the light weight of the solution.

SolarEdge added in a statement that the technology “makes a leap for inverters” due to its 99% efficiency and high levels of reliability.
