Solar farm developer, ODPE, has announced that it has completed a 12MW solar farm at Alresford in Hampshire.
The site boasts over 47,600 PV modules which are predicted to generate 11,844MWh a year – enough to supply electricity to 5,000 homes.
Despite construction only starting in February 2014, ODPE managed to complete the site in two months, allowing the site to claim support under the higher Renewable Obligation rate of 1.6ROCs.
ODPE, which develops solar farms in a number of different countries, claims that the new solar farm helps strengthen the company’s presence in the UK, where the firm claims to have a project pipeline of approximately 150MW over the next few years.
