Oriel Printing Company has had a 49.35kWp system installed on the roof of their premises in Hull to help slash electricity bills and cut the company’s carbon footprint.

The system, installed by Perpetum Sun Limited, is the largest solar installation in the Hull and Humberside area.

Richard Simms, Managing Director of Oriel Printing Company, said: “Thanks to the fantastic and professional job Perpetum Sun has done, we at Oriel Printing Company can continue our investment in our future energy supply. Combine this with our newly installed LED Lighting System and we are saving on electricity costs and nearly 100 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.”

Kim Notman, CEO at the Hull-based Perpetum Sun, said: “Once more it has been proven that using Solar PV Systems can generate real savings for the consumers.

“As we all look to pull ourselves out of recession and back on track, investment in our future energy needs will create room for more jobs and economic growth in the whole Hull area, and indeed the UK.”

Notman concluded: “I hope the community in Hull will get behind sustainable energy and look to be a part of this growing 'green' generation.”
