UK developer Camborne Energy has won a recommendation of approval from planning officers in Pembrokeshire, Wales, for a 7.5MW solar park despite opposition from local residents.
County planning committee now has to decide whether to grant permission to the 32,000 panel solar park on 19 hectares of land to the north of Cuckoo Lane, Haverfordwest.
However, a petition has been submitted to the committee signed by 47 people on the grounds of location, size, visual impact and glare.
The report to the committee from the planning officers said: “The limited adverse impact on the local landscape is outweighed by the benefits of the development”.
