Wakefield-based installer Pretty Green Energy has selected energy supply firm Enphase Energy as its sole solar PV technology supplier as it looks to strengthen its commercial rooftop business.
Stating Enphase to be the “ideal partner” for his firm, Pretty Green Energy chief executive Marc Jones said his company had seen a shift in the number of customers demanding value over cost after having bad experiences with low-quality installs.
“We’re refitting existing systems away from cheap inverter systems to the high-performance Enphase systems that we trust,” he said.
Jones also said the deal would help Pretty Green to continue its progress in the commercial rooftop solar business having previously concentrated predominantly on the residential market.
“In 2015 our commercial focus will primarily be agricultural sites with a plan to increase our operations in this space from 10 percent to 20 percent,” he added.
Simon Baggaley, UK sales director at Enphase Energy UK, said the UK’s solar market was reaching a “pivotal stage of growth” and that low-quality systems risked damaging the industry’s reputation.
“Partnerships such as the one between Pretty Green Energy and Enphase are critical to ensuring both consumer and enterprise customers continue to have access to the unsurpassed quality that our firms bring to the market,” Baggaley added.
