RAP Renewables, an industrial component and renewable energy solutions supplier based in the north of England, has won a contract to install a solar installation on the rooftop of a warehouse facility owned by Cleveland McIver.

RAP will install an 800kW string array solar solution made up of 1,455 panels across 14,450 square metres. The firm said it was selected for its competitive pitch, offering a full suite of services from an initial electrical and structural survey to final certification and ongoing maintenance.

Paul Adams, operations and logistics director at Cleland McIver, commented: “RAP’s tailored approach and commitment to long-term value made them the right choice for this installation after a competitive selection process – and I very much look forward to partnering with the RAP team.”

The 5-week installation will be managed entirely by RAP Renewables, who will oversee electrical procurement, material supply, technology specification, scaffold setup testing to ensure optimal performance.

Cleveland McIver will be able to use RAP’s live monitoring platform for real-time oversight of the system’s output and efficiency.

“This 800kW project represents a major milestone for RAP Renewables, showcasing our capability to deliver substantial renewable solutions for large industrial clients,” said Lee Storey, head of renewables at RAP.
