Redland has launched a new rage of integrated solar tiles designed for both new-build and retrofit applications.

The InDax modules have met all the product requirements of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) and have been designed to provide the same levels of weather-tightness and resistance to wind uplift as roof tiles.

Redland expects demand for the integrated solar tile to come from residential developers looking to meet local planning requirements for renewable energy as well as public sector bodies building to code Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Redland claims that the technology it used for the PV laminate allows it deliver one of the most efficient power outputs in its class, while the low overall height of the modules and the black coated aluminium frame allows the product to be less aesthetically intrusive as its competitors.

The InDax modules are available through merchant distribution now.
