Poole-based Save Energy Group has expanded its solar PV portfolio with the introduction of CIS thin film panels produced by Solar Frontier. To showcase the new technology, Save Energy Group used Solar Frontier’s all-black thin-film modules to complete 90kW of commercial installs in February and March.
The three projects consist of a 41.4kWp system comprising 276 Solar Frontier 150W panels on a barn roof in Dorset, a 13.92kWp system on a farm at the Dorset/Somerset borders and a 33.6kWp roof-top installation on another barn in Dorset which is expected to be completed by mid-March.
“We are pleased to be a key partner for Solar Frontier and to facilitate the introduction of their CIS thin film technology in the UK” says Wolf Dietrich, Commercial Sales Manager at Save Energy Group. “Solar Frontier’s CIS thin film technology provides a number of benefits for our customers, including better value, great returns even under reduced feed-in tariffs, and more flexible installation options. Combined with Save Energy’s expertise in design and installation of bespoke solutions we can offer our customers high-quality PV systems that are more efficient, greener, and visually highly attractive, at a very competitive cost.”
“The Save Energy Group is building a strong portfolio and expertise in the U.K. solar market,” says Wolfgang Lange, Managing Director, Solar Frontier Europe. “Our work with the Save Energy Group is an excellent opportunity to prove the added value of Solar Frontier’s technology in the UK market and climate both on residential and commercial rooftops. We look forward to expanding this relationship and providing the UK with solar energy solutions that are a model for the market.”
