UK-based solar distributor Save Energy Group has expanded its product portfolio through its latest partnership with CIS thin-film module manufacturer Solar Frontier.
Commenting on the partnership Save Energy Group’s Commercial Sales Manager, Wolf Dietrich, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Solar Frontier to bring UK customers the unique benefits of this new technology. Two of our first commercial installations were for The Crown Estate in Dorset, and both exceeded our performance forecasts and simulations in the first months of operation, despite adverse conditions such as the wettest April on record.
“Our residential division is also seeing substantial interest from the domestic market,” he continued.
CIS modules are characterised by their ability to work in low light conditions, as well as under diffused light. The black surface of these modules also offers added visual appeal making the product attractive for projects which require an aesthetic element.
Wolfgang Lange, Managing Director at Solar Frontier, said: “The growing PV market in the UK represents a great opportunity for PV partners take advantage of the superior performance, environmental friendliness and attractive aesthetics of Solar Frontier’s CIS modules. We are happy to bring the benefits resulting from more than 30 years’ experience in the PV industry to the UK market and trust in the experience of Save Energy Group to support the PV experts in the UK, to bring the highest added value for their own customers.”
