Helping new installers with the often-confusing electrical testing requirements for solar photovoltaics, Seaward Solar will host a series of free training courses across the UK. Designed with a more hands-on approach, Seaward hopes the sessions will build confidence to complete the required PV installation commissioning tests.

The half-day training sessions will give attendees practical guidance on the requirements for testing solar PV installations as set out by the new IEC 62446 standard as well as making sure connections are in line with microgeneration certification scheme (MCS) requirements.

Instructions on how to carry out installation commissioning tests and site surveys will also be given alongside the opportunity to get hands-on with real test equipment, which will also adhere to the requirements of IEC 62446.

Sessions will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 1.30pm to 4.30pm throughout September and October.
