Power management company Eaton is launching a new range of solar PV surge protection devices at Solar Energy UK (SEUK) in Birmingham.
The company’s SPPV range of products is designed to protect systems from overvoltage that can be caused by the indirect effect of lightning. Eaton is offering a number of options within the range which includes: 600Vdc and 1000Vdc systems in test classes EN 50539-11 PV-T1/T2. And PV-T2 with optional remote indication plus a high performance version for use at re-combiner and inverter level with a high ISCPV of 1000A
One of the company’s point of focus at SEUK is the company’s PV-DB distribution board. Eaton claims that the board is quick and simple to install, offering facilities for the paralleling of both single and three-phase inverters.
Eaton will also be showing the PV string combiner box from Bussman by Eaton. The company says that the system is customisable, allowing it to be setup for a simple residential two-string unit or up to 32 strings for complex utility-scale systems.
Eaton is exhibiting on stand I12 at SEUK. Register for your free ticket here.
