One of the most innovative PV modules currently on the market will be present on LG Electronics booth at Solar Energy UK in Birmingham this week.

The 'Mono X' 'NeoN module' is based on N-type solar cells with over 18% efficiency and up to 300 watts per module and was only introduced in April, 2013.

The use of bi-facial cells means that light is reflected from the modules back sheet onto the cell back side, resulting in increased light yield and greater conversion efficiency compared to conventional cells.

UK Sales Manager Sven Armbrecht said: “We are excited to present our new and award-winning Mono X(tm) NeoN module at Solar Energy UK. The module is proving to be an international success and the recent award win highlights that the company's product strategy is on the right track. This module will be very successful with both the UK residential and SMB markets, as it offers a genuine alternative to rising energy costs.”

The monocrystalline high-performance module consists of six cells by 10 and has an overall size of 164 x 100 x 3.5 cm, weighing 16.8kg.  But it's not only the lighter weight that makes assembly smoother for installers; the new cable management system makes it simpler to connect all of the modules.
