Wrexham-based solar panel manufacturer, Sharp will now supply complete kit systems to the UK solar market. The kits are now available in the UK and will be rolled out across Sharp’s other European markets during 2012 and into 2013.
Each Sharp PV-Kit includes PV modules, an inverter and mounting system, fixings, AC and DC isolators, DC cable with connectors, an export meter and warning labels. Kits are available from the Sharp web shop, call centre and UK installer network as standard in sizes ranging from 1.5 to 4.0kWp, with larger systems or alternative layouts available on request.
Sharp is now looking for potential UK installer partners who will sell the new PV-Kit systems. These partners will receive expert training at the Sharp Academy, at the European solar headquarters in Wrexham, North Wales.
Andrew Lee, General Manager, Solar UK at Sharp, said: “The PV-Kit offering is a landmark move for Sharp. The UK solar market has been through a turbulent 18 months but, through innovating and adapting, the UK solar industry is well placed to grow. This is why we are shifting our business model to focus on PV-Kit systems, and we urge installers to work with us to get this industry back on its feet and standing tall once again.”
Sharp will also launch a range of battery storage solutions, Home Energy Management Systems and LED Lighting concepts in autumn this year. These new products can be combined with or added to the PV-Kits.
