Northwest-based rooftop solar provider Shawton Energy has announced RAW Charging as its exclusive electric vehicle (EV) charging partner.

Following the partnership with the EV charging infrastructure supplier, Shawton Energy’s customers will be able to install solar photovoltaic (PV) technology and EV infrastructure simultaneously, forming a streamlined process.

“We see it as a great fit. RAW share similar values to Shawton and we’re at a similar point in our business trajectories. We are both innovative by nature and large enough to deliver major projects. However, we remain agile enough to quickly onboard the latest technologies and trends,” said Jamie Shaw CEO at Shawton Energy.

“Industry collaboration is absolutely fundamental to driving positive change and creating a more integrated energy ecosystem across the UK. The industry’s voice is undeniably stronger when the different green technologies work as a collective.”

Jason Simpson, CEO at RAW Charging added: “Combining our capabilities allows us to install EV and combined EV/distributed energy projects more efficiently – it’s a win win for all of us.

“We look forward to working together to deliver a sustainable and green future for drivers and landlords across the UK.”

In late 2022 Shawton Energy – part owned by Lazard Asset Management through its Sustainable Private Infrastructure Fund –  reported seeing solar power enquiries rise ten-fold, setting the company on track to deliver more than £50 million of invested capital in high-quality solar projects over the next five years until 2025.
