Photon Energy scooped the coveted Contractor of the Year gong at last night’s Solar & Storage Awards as the Solar Trade Association’s Leonie Greene was recognised for her contribution to the UK solar sector.
In winning the Contractor of the Year, Photon broke EvoEnergy’s winning streak and finally picked up the prize having been highly commended in the category in the past.
A total of 11 awards were handed out at the event, hosted by comedian Zoe Lyons and held at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham.
Other big winners on the night included Centrica, who won the Smart Energy Award for its local energy trial in Cornwall, and BayWa r.e. which was crowned as O&M Provider of the Year.
