Solarcentury has signed a contract with Hanwha Q Cells that will see the German manufacturer supply the London-based developer with 15MW of modules.

The 59,479 Q Cells Q.PRO modules will be used for a solar farm in Hardingham, Norfolk. Solarcentury predicts that the 15MW solar farm will produce around 14,636MWh of electricity every year – enough to power over 3,500 local homes.

The German module manufacturer noted that its growing production capacity, which now stands at 1.1GW, can meet the needs of UK EPC providers.

Commenting on the deal, Jonathan Goose, director sales UK, Ireland and Scandinavia at Hanwha Q Cells said: “We are pleased to partner with Solarcentury as the company is one of the leading EPC providers and developers in the UK. Its choice of Q Cells’ Q.PRO modules is further evidence that the high quality and performance of our ‘Engineered in Germany’ products pays off.”
