Swiss inverter manufacturer Sputnik Engineering, makers of the SolarMax range, agreed a distribution deal with PV wholesaler Solen Energy UK on the show floor of Solar Energy UK.
The agreement will see the nationwide provision of residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial PV systems with the full SolarMax range of inverters. The distribution deal will be supported by Solen Energy UK’s Merseyside and Cornwall branches.
Mark Wilke, director of Solen Energy UK said: “Partnering with SolarMax provides us and our customers with an offering of high quality and advanced technology European inverters that cover the whole range of installations, from small domestic to medium size commercial systems and megawatt scale solar parks. We see a promising market opportunity with the multiple MPPT tracker string inverters for both residential and commercial applications”.
Commenting on the company’s presence at Solar Energy UK, Neil Martin sales manager UK at Sputnik Engineering told Solar Power Portal: “There was a high level of interest among the visitors at Solar Energy UK. Their number and quality shows that we are right to be investing in the UK market by increasing our team at this time.”
Martin added: “We had a high number of visitors interested in all parts of the market but particularly our new P series inverter and our solutions for solar Farms. Obviously there are pressures on cost for installers but we were very pleased that focus remains on quality as well. This is essential if the PV market is to continue to grow in the UK.”
