SunPower Corporation has signed up Sungift Solar to two of its partnership programmes at Solar Power UK 2012, a trade show being held in Birmingham at the NEC this week.
Sungift has become one of the first companies to take advantage of the SunPower’s Sunrise programme which is aimed primarily at installers, and the first in the UK to use this programme to offer support based on customer satisfaction.
As part of the partnership programme, Sungift will benefit from a discount on the purchasing price on SunPower products based on customer satisfaction levels — so the higher the customer satisfaction level, the bigger the discount on the purchasing price. According to Gabriel Wondrausch, Director of Sungift, Sungift’s customer satisfaction levels are currently at around 97%. This discount on the purchasing price will then filter down to benefit its customers.
Speaking to Solar Power Portal at Solar Power UK, Wondrausch said, “Sungift are always proud of our customer satisfaction records. The Sunrise programme will allow us to use our high customer satisfaction scores to obtain our additional marketing and discount support.”
The second programme which Sungift signed up to was SunPower’s global Alliance programme. Through the programme, selected partners are able to offer SunPower systems within SunPower’s network.
A SunPower representative at Solar Power UK said, “The Alliance programme is designed to generate leads for our network but also provide SunPower customers with peace and mind around the quality of the install and products.”
SunPower is a key player in the solar market. Last year, the company was given the Guinness Book of World Records Award for providing “the most efficient commercially available photovoltaic modules on the market.”
Earlier this week, renewable energy specialist Sungift launched the BenQ modules at Solar Power UK 2012 after it signed a deal to become the exclusive supplier of the product in the UK market.
