Renewable distributor SunFields Europe has reported that it supplied 800kW of equipment for various solar PV projects across Europe in the first quarter of 2014.
The company notes that the bulk of its supplies have been delivered to Spain, Portugal and the UK. SunFields has increased its involvement in the UK, boosting its market share thanks to strong demand for Sharp and SolarWorld modules.
“Despite the slowdown in the photovoltaic industry in Europe and the enormous challenges facing the sector in Spain because of the Spanish state energy policies , our company , thanks to our partners and , above all, the trust of our customers, has exceeded expectations for this start of 2014,” said José A. Alonso, SunFields' European manager.
SunFields said its philosophy of working with European brands had helped the company avoid involvement in EU anti-dumping duties levied against Chinese solar manufactures.
