Alcemi grows Scottish storage pipeline with consent for 300MW BESS

Scottish Ministers in the Energy Consents Unit have approved an application from energy storage developer Alcemi for a 300MW battery energy storage system (BESS) in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
The large-scale BESS, to be constructed in Bathgate, Scotland, represents a £130 million investment from OnPath and is expected to create approximately 80 jobs during construction. Image: OnPath Energy.
