German power company RWE has signed its first UK-based solar power purchase agreement (PPA) with the UK subsidiary of Kerry Group.

RWE has begun constructing its first seven UK solar and storage sites, representing 330MW of solar and 45MW of co-located BESS.

German energy giant RWE has acquired solar and storage developer JBM Solar, making it a “top three solar developer” in the UK.

RWE has unveiled plans for an up to 600MW solar development on land in south Yorkshire and north Lincolnshire.

RWE’s largest battery storage project to date has entered full operations in County Monaghan, Ireland.
