Solar distribution specialist, Waxman Energy, has invested in a brand new, purpose built 40,000 square foot office, warehouse and training facility at its Yorkshire base.

The £500,000 investment will also allow the company take on five new members of staff, including industry expert, Roy Oxley, who will be charged with heading up the company’s specialist training academy.

The brand-new facility will be home to both Waxman Group’s Energy and Renewables divisions. Included in the plans is a large, dedicated showroom that will showcase the vast array of products that the distributor stocks.

Importantly, the Waxman Training Academy will also be based at the new facility and will benefit from a lecture-style theatre and a selection of pitched roofs for hands-on practical solar PV and thermal installation tutorials. The academy will offer a wide selection of accredited renewable courses from biomass to solar PV.

Richard Waxman, Chairman of the Waxman Group, said: “The new space will accommodate the group’s future growth. We have already welcomed new additions to the team, who will help us strengthen the business and move forward.”

The Group’s growth and success in the marketplace has not gone unnoticed. It was recently recognised by The Times newspaper as one of the UK’s fastest-growing companies in terms of international sales and placed on the ‘International Track 200’ list.
