UK Solar Provider has now completed its 95kWp solar photovoltaics installation at Vine farm in south Cambridgeshire. After being delayed by two months due to planning permission issues, the project is now fully up-and-running.
Utilising panels from aleo solar and inverters from SMA, the system is mounted on three grain stores. A total of 40% of the solar energy will be exported to the national grid while 60% will be used on site for grain drying. By utilising onsite energy the farm owners will save thousands of pounds in electricity bills each year.
