The British Board of Agreement (BBA) has announced that Upsolar’s PV module range has been granted the MCS certificate. The certificate is mandatory in order to be eligible for the UK feed-in tariff thus demonstrating the quality and reliability of approved products by satisfying rigorous quality control standards.
BBA performed the certification process over a period of six months including a full due diligence assessment of the manufacturing processes, materials, procedures and staff training. The MCS process also included new Upsolar products such as the 190W module UP-M190M with a high efficiency of 14.88% that is particularly suitable for roof-top systems.
“Achieving the MCS certification demonstrates the approved product quality of our modules and the high manufacturing standards. Through the combination of the product features and the attractive price Upsolar modules are suitable not only for smaller rooftop installations. Diverse customers across Europe use them for large scale power plants because they can rely on their bankability with major financial partners” says Iain Garner, European Sales Manager of Upsolar.
