The Velux group has announced that it has discontinued sales of its solar thermal collectors.
A Velux spokesperson told Solar Power Portal that the company had decided to focus on its core business; as solar thermal sales made up a small part of the company’s operations, it made sense to withdraw from the market.
The company notes that it will continue to provide service and spare parts for maintenance to anyone who purchased a Velux solar collector in the past.
SK Solar Solutions, who are the sole UK agent for Sonnenkraft Solar Systems, stressed that Velux’s exit from the solar thermal market does not affect Sonnenkraft who are part of the VKR Group of companies alongside Velux.
