Solar power and heating supplier Wagner Solar has promoted Mark Osborne to Managing Director for operations and business development of the company’s UK branch.
Osborne takes over from Carsten Pump who the company said has left Wagner Solar UK to concentrate on other interests in the solar industry.
As a founding member of the Wagner Solar UK team, Osborne has served as Director overseeing Finance and Key Account business. The company states that he has been responsible for setting up relations with some of the UK’s most respected project developers. Osborne takes up his new challenge as the industry enjoys overwhelming public support for solar energy albeit with the challenge of legislative intervention that has the potential to threaten stability.
Commenting on his appointment, Osborne said: “Most in the industry will agree that 2013 has begun with commercial projects leading the market. We have begun the year busier than ever and are pleased to see increasing numbers of systems deployed with the commercial racking systems that were previewed at last years’ Solar Power UK show. As the year progresses, we will continue to take our engineering knowledge and design expertise to increasing numbers of project developers so we can help maximise client value and project return.”
