Yesterday Entu became the first solar installer to confirm that it was to close its PV division less than a week after the government proposed sweeping cuts to the feed-in tariff.
As the industry continues to reel from the proposals – dubbed “absurd” and “shattering” last week – there is every chance Entu will be followed by other installers who decide that the UK’s solar market no longer stands to be a viable one.
Given that the Conservatives’ entire ethos appears to be built around support for small businesses and being “all in it together”, such uncertainty is clearly hypocritical.
