Manchester-based property developers, Willan Investments ltd, now benefits from a 22.5kWp solar array after Cruden Energy Supplies fitted the solar system to the roof of the investment company's neighbouring offices.
The North West-based installer faced an extremely tight deadline of just five days after the procurement process was completed.
Divisional Manager for Cruden, Jonathan Hill, explained: “CES has an excellent relationship with Willan Investments and we were trusted to install products that would last and provide maximum return on investment. We stressed that we weren’t keen to install the cheapest products on the market. Our job was to closely examine a range of solar products and determine which ones offered superior performance.”
He continued, “We also look closely at our supply chain and carry out strict due diligence checks before agreeing to use a supplier. Often, there’s little point in having further dialogue with some suppliers as it’s clear from an early stage they simply fail meet the required standards.”
IBC Solar supplied CES 96 of its own Polysol range modules combined with two Servemaster inverters to make up the system. Although the inclement weather claimed a few hours of install time, CES was able to complete the installation in time.
The system is expected to generate 20,020kWh of electricity every year, saving almost 11 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere.
