Yesterday’s developments at SunEdison, and the subsequent administration of the Mark Group, is undoubtedly bad news for the industry, and should weigh heavy on the conscience of those in parliament handing down the draconian policies being held as responsible.

This kind of market consolidation looks set to continue as more businesses take a long, hard look at their standing in the UK solar space. But what it also points to is how there might be more business to go around, and more opportunity to diversify into energy efficiency, much the same as the Mark Group is now looking to do.
