Alasdair Grainger, the Head of the Feed-in Tariff at the Department of Energy and Cimate Change (DECC) has announced at Solar Power UK 2012 that businesses will still be able to chose between support under the feed-in tariff (FiT) or the renewable obligation (RO).

Major PV module manufacturer, SolarWorld, has established its first sales office in the UK and has completed training courses with over 50 companies from all parts of the country. The new subsidiary, which will be supporting both distributors and installers, is based in Salisbury, south of London. SolarWorld announced the news during Solar Power UK being held in Birmingham this week.

Yorkshire-based Solahart UK, a renewable energy company, has signed a supply deal with Australian solar firm Solahart. As part of the deal, Solahart UK has become the exclusive UK supplier of Solarhart solar thermal products made in Australia and Europe.
