Solarcentury has announced the appointment of Frans van den Heuvel as its new CEO. Van den Heuvel was previously CEO of Dutch solar PV company Scheuten Solar and ProxEnergy, a solar installation company and developer of smart-gird products and services. The Dutchman has over 13 years of industry experience, specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of solar for buildings and solar parks.

Ofgem has announced that it will be requiring industry to develop changes to the current transmission charging approach.
