Sounds dull I know … but it has reduced the normally calm Sundog Energy engineer sat on the desk behind me to screaming point. I have held off writing this for a few weeks as I keep thinking that I will be able to present a clear conclusion – but that point still looks a while off. Smaller systems are relatively uncomplicated.

Joju Solar has installed a 1.8kW solar photovoltaics system for Wentworth Primary School in Hackney. The system, which has been fitted to a shelter where the children play, will save the school money on electricity bills as well as providing them with feed-in tariff payments for the next 25 years.

Solarcentury has broken new ground in the UK solar industry by connecting the nation’s largest solar system to the grid. The 748kW system is comprised of over 3,000 panels and will produce enough electricity to power one-quarter of the Oxfordshire business park in which it is located.
