Renewable energy system distributor Midsummer has signed a strategic partnership with Solarport to develop integrated solar mounting solutions.

The partnership will combine Midsummer’s solar design software, Easy PV, with Solarport’s solar mounting systems to develop a comprehensive solution. In doing so, customers will gain access to calibrated and user-friendly solar systems whilst using Solarport’s technology.

Solarport, a UK designer and manufacturer of solar mounting structures, said its mounting solution has been engineered for commercial and domestic sites.

Peter Bechervaise, Solarport’s head of modular photovoltaics (PV) said: “We are excited to be partnering with Midsummer and Easy-PV. Combining the design capabilities of Easy PV with the quality and versatility of our Modular system creates a unique offering for commercial and domestic ground mounts.”

The partnership is the latest in continued expansion announcements from Midsummer. In March 2023, the Cambridge-based company announced a distribution partnership with inverter heavyweight Sungrow.

Through this partnership, developers can buy Sungrow’s energy storage systems from the UK distributor, with products for applications in a range of sizes available, as well as the scalable SBR battery, commercial string inverters and residential hybrid inverters.

In December 2022, the firm stated that it was trading at levels that were three times its sales volumes from a year ago, as demand for solar continues to be strong.
