Wrexham-based solar panel manufacturer, Sharp will now supply complete kit systems to the UK solar market. The kits are now available in the UK and will be rolled out across Sharp’s other European markets during 2012 and into 2013.

The latest solar installation figures appear to show that the UK solar market is finally stabilising. After weeks of concern surrounding a significant dip in demand the numbers released today by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) seem to show that the market may be starting to get back on track.

Ok so we really are nearly finished! The work depends on a lot of input from others – and while Griff and I can do so much, the peaks and troughs of the Solar PV market over the last few months has really impacted on getting all the various bits of information and feedback back to us. Oscar-winning actor Colin Firth has been refused planning permission to fit his Grade II listed mansion with a solar thermal module. Hounslow Council initially rejected the appeal, stating that the “inappropriate size and positing [of the solar module] would not preserve the architectural and historic significance of the listed building.”
