A robotic falcon called Brian is keeping a beady eye over a new solar array at At-Bristol. The mechanical falcon has been charged with keeping seagulls away from the 50kWp array, to stop them from fouling the surface of the panels.

Wrexham County Council is due to complete an ambitious solar scheme at the end of this month that will see one in three council owned properties fitted with a solar photovoltaic array. The 5MW scheme is believed to be Europe’s largest social housing solar scheme.

Over £1.25 million of solar PV has been installed across Milford Docks and Pembroke Port, as part of a new venture between Milford Haven Port and The Green Electrician Limited.
