The Abu Dhabi sovereign investor Mubadala Investment Company has announced a strategic investment in battery energy storage and EV fleet solutions provider Zenobē.

Zenobē yesterday (15 November) officially opened it’s 50MW/100MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Confirming reports made earlier this week, battery storage developer Zenobē has secured an investment of c.£600 million from investment firm KKR.

KKR has agreed a deal with battery storage developer Zenobē to acquire a joint control stake in the company, according to reports.

Zenobē Energy has started construction of a 300MW/600MWh battery energy storage project in Blackhillock, Scotland, following a £235 million long-term debt facility secured from five banks.

International EV fleet and battery storage specialist Zenobē has today announced that construction has begun on three battery storage projects at Blackhillock, Kilmarnock South and Eccles in Scotland, which will total £750 million of investment.

A 12MW/24MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) being developed by Zenobē and Swindon Borough Council’s development arm Public Power Solutions (PPS) has entered construction.
