Foresight Group has bolstered the ranks of its renewables asset management team with the hire of Paul Andrews as director and head of portfolio.
Andrews joins Foresight Group’s in-house asset management team which currently optimises the performance of more than 145 renewable energy projects, including solar, wind and bioenergy plants, across the world.
He joins the firm having previously held positions at FCC, Energy Developments and Shanks Waste Management, and brings him more than 25 years of experience in sustainable energy and environmental engineering.
Nigel Aitchison, partner and head of infrastructure at Foresight, said Andrews would be undertaking the management of Foresight’s infrastructure portfolio.
“He will be able to apply his wealth of experience to our existing assets and his expertise will be invaluable as we continue to grow our bioenergy and broader renewable generation portfolio globally,” Aitchinson added.
Foresight currently has more than 1.1GW of solar assets under management, much of which is in the UK, however the firm has a growing interest in Australia and Iberian markets.
