German solar developer ib vogt has completed an additional 13MW of solar in the UK.

The two new completed projects, an 8MW development in Pembrokeshire and a 5MW site in Pyworthy, Devon, add to the existing 16MW of capacity the company managed to complete before the Renewable Obligation rate was revised downwards on 1 April, 2013.

The four new solar parks will supply over 8,100 households with clean electricity, saving 14,500 tonnes of CO2 a year.

The UK arm of the company will continue to service the solar parks through ongoing operation and maintenance contracts.

The 30MW of new capacity takes ib vogt’s UK portfolio of projects to over 55MW. The company is expected to develop an additional 100MW of capacity in the UK during the remainder of 2013.
