NextEnergy Solar Fund has bolstered its UK solar portfolio once again, this time with the £7.5 million acquisition of the Park View solar power plant.

The Devonshire solar array, currently being constructed under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract negotiated by NextEnergy Capital Limited, is expected to have a total capacity of 6.5MWp and will qualify for the 1.4ROC, with the deadline set to expire at the end of the month.

NextEnergy expects to complete the acquisition in May this year after the plant’s preliminary acceptance certificate has been issued.

The deal will take NextEnergy’s solar assets to a total capacity of 154.8MWp spread across 14 separate projects that have cost the firm £179.2m, almost three-quarters of the equity it has raised.

Last week the firm added Lagenhoe Solar Farm in Essex to its portfolio and agreed to expand the Bilsham Solar Farm in Sussex, adding a further 2.6MWp to its capacity.
